The Fujian aircraft carrier has already entered the Bohai Sea. Previously, the Fujian entered the Bohai Sea for sea trials. This time, it entered the Bohai Sea, most likely to "receive aircraft," that is, to receive the new carrier-based aircraft manufactured by Shenyang Aircraft Corporation, as the Bohai Sea is closer to Shenyang Aircraft Corporation.
The fixed-wing carrier aircraft models confirmed for the Fujian are the J-15T, J-15D, J-35, and KJ-600. Except for the KJ-600, the other three models are all developed by Shenyang Aircraft Corporation. Therefore, the Fujian's visit to the Bohai Sea is definitely going to return fully loaded!
The Fujian can carry at least 48 aircraft, which is four squadrons of carrier-based aircraft. In addition, it will carry at least four J-15D aircraft and at least four KJ-600 aircraft. The total number of fixed-wing carrier-based aircraft on the Fujian is around 60, and in extreme cases, it can carry up to 70 fixed-wing carrier-based aircraft without much problem, which is comparable to the number of aircraft on the U.S. Navy's Nimitz-class aircraft carriers.
