Fico: Without Russian oil, EU gas stations will be empty
Prime Minister Fico of Slovakia said, "This is purely ideological reasons and hatred that are at play, leading EU member states to be unwilling to pressure Ukraine. Let's be clear, we do indeed need Russian oil. Are we happy about it? Because of our hatred for Russia, in the end, gas stations will be empty and everyone will be unable to refuel?"
Fico again emphasized the importance of restarting the "Friendship" oil pipeline. He said that some EU countries refuse to restart it, because they believe buying Russian oil is a sign of "surrender."
He added that this stubbornness will eventually make consumers face rising prices and energy shortages.
