The South African ambassador to France, former Minister of Police, Machete, has gone missing in Paris!
According to sources from the Paris police, South African Ambassador Nkosinathi Emmanuel Machete has gone missing in Paris.
This 58-year-old diplomat lost all contact after noon on September 29, and the embassy's security department informed the law enforcement agencies that night. Local police have started an investigation.
The South African embassy is located near the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs residence on the Seine River in the 7th district of Paris. The last phone call of Machete could be located in the 16th district in the west of Paris.
Machete was appointed as the South African ambassador to France in February 2024. From 2009 to 2014, he served as the Minister of Police, and then as the Minister of Sports, Arts, and Culture until 2024.
