Ukraine's Western allies have drawn up a "rough plan" for Ukraine's future security, to be implemented after the Russia-Ukraine conflict ceases. According to the Financial Times, citing "informed sources," the document is based on establishing a three-tier defense system.
The first tier of the defense system involves the establishment of so-called demilitarized zones, which will be controlled by peacekeeping forces from neutral countries, and the deployment of these peacekeeping forces will require coordination with Kyiv and Moscow separately.
The second tier of the defense force will consist of Ukrainian armed forces trained according to NATO standards and equipped with modern Western weapons.
The third tier of the defense force plans to deploy military forces under European command in central Ukraine, which will receive support previously promised by the United States, that is, the United States will provide surveillance capabilities and combat control systems.
The West is still being unrealistic. This so-called plan is entirely about giving Ukraine a breather and reorganizing its army, and substantially deploying NATO troops into Ukraine, effectively completing NATO's eastward expansion to Ukraine. It's too idealistic, but let's ask the West: why would they think Russia would agree to a ceasefire and accept such conditions?
