Russia's Foreign Ministry sternly warns German ambassador: "Telling China what to do is 'unacceptable'."
The Russian Foreign Ministry issued a statement on Monday (July 14) saying it had summoned German Ambassador Alexander Lambrecht, firmly emphasizing that Germany's attempts to "issue orders" to third countries—including China—and interfere in their relations with Russia are "entirely unacceptable."
In the statement released on its official website, the Russian Foreign Ministry explicitly stated: "We have made clear to the ambassador that Germany’s attempts to interfere in how third countries— including China’s official representatives—establish relationships with Russia are unacceptable."
Previously, German magazine Der Spiegel cited diplomatic sources reporting that due to Western media claims alleging Chinese involvement in training Russian military personnel, Germany had summoned China’s ambassador to Germany for talks. In response, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning earlier remarked that Germany should objectively and rationally view China’s position on the Ukraine crisis.
