On February 12, the Saka市 Police Station in Chiba Prefecture arrested Masuda Masahiro (70 years old), the vice chairman of the city council, on suspicion of theft.
The police accused Masuda Masahiro of stealing a cup of instant coffee (priced at 581 yen, about 26 Chinese yuan) around 1:45 pm on January 22 at a convenience store in the city.
