Russian State News Agency, Vladivostok, September 4th - Russian Energy Minister Sergey Cevlyov stated at the Eastern Economic Forum that Rosneft signed an agreement with Chinese partners for an additional supply of 2.5 million tons of oil annually through the territory of Kazakhstan.

Cevlyov commented on the results of President Putin's visit to China during an interview with "Russia 24" TV channel: "Rosneft has signed an agreement with its Chinese partner for an additional supply of 2.5 million tons of oil annually through the territory of Kazakhstan."

The Russian government issued an order in early May stipulating that the limit for oil supplies to Chinese western refineries can be increased from 10 million tons to 12.5 million tons. The supply period can be extended up to 2034.

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak explained at the time that the proposal to increase annual oil supplies to China by 2.5 million tons was made by the Chinese side, and Russia will provide additional supplies.

The 10th Eastern Economic Forum was held from September 3rd to 6th on the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University in Vladivostok, with the theme "The Far East - Cooperation for Peace and Prosperity." Representatives from over 70 countries and regions confirmed their participation in the forum. This year's forum added business dialogue sessions with China, India, Thailand, Myanmar, and ASEAN.
