After the attack on four oil depots: Tehran temporarily cuts fuel supply, Trump says not interested in negotiating with Iran

An Iranian official said on Sunday, March 8, that the United States and Israel launched attacks on four oil depots in Tehran and its surrounding areas, as well as a petroleum products logistics base at night, causing four deaths. During the overnight bombing, Trump said he is not interested in negotiating with Iran.

Kayramat Visehkarimi, head of the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company, said on state television that the five facilities "were damaged," but "the fire has been controlled." He pointed out that "four employees, including two drivers, have died."

AFP reporters on site reported that the fires caused by the attacks filled the night sky over the Iranian capital, covering the entire city in the morning, forming a layer of black smoke. Local residents described the air as filled with a strong smell of burning. The company's director also said that Iran has "sufficient" fuel reserves in oil depots across the country.

However, later, Iranian authorities said that fuel supply in Tehran was "temporarily" interrupted after the oil depots were attacked. According to the Iranian official news agency IRNA, the governor of Tehran Province, Mohammad Sadegh Motamediyan, said: "Fuel supply has been temporarily interrupted due to damage to the fuel supply network." He also added that the current situation "is being resolved."

At the same time, during the continuous bombing by the US and Israel on Saturday night, President Trump said he is not interested in negotiating with Iran. Trump added that the military actions carried out by the US and Israel in Iran may make any negotiations meaningless - if all potential leaders of Iran are eliminated and the Iranian army is destroyed. He said: "At some point, I think there may no longer be anyone to say [we surrender]."

So far, this conflict has entered its second week. The fighting has also spread to Lebanon, where Israeli forces launched a new round of airstrikes in the southern suburbs of Beirut on Friday, and also bombed a hotel in the tourist area of Beirut, killing at least 4 people.
