IDF Denies F-35 Downed
According to The Times of Israel, on June 13 local time, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) denied a report from Iran's state media, which claimed that the Iranian military had shot down two Israeli fighter jets and captured a pilot. Colonel Avichai Adrei, the IDF's Arabic spokesperson, stated, "The news reported by Iranian media is false, and these reports disseminated by Iranian media are completely baseless."
Previously, on the evening of June 13, Iran's Tasnim News Agency reported that Iran's air defense systems had shot down two Israeli F-35 fighter jets and captured a female pilot. On June 14, Iran released photos of the wreckage of an Israeli "F-35" fighter jet allegedly shot down by Iran on social media. However, a military commentator for the Guancha website pointed out that this image, full of flaws, was not only not an F-35 but could be confirmed as not belonging to any current model in the Israeli military, being instead an AI-generated image, based solely on the reversed tail fin and the peculiar emblem.
An image showing the wreckage of an Israeli "F-35" fighter jet allegedly shot down by Iran has been released by Iran's official X account.
