China's newly added power generation capacity in the past four years has reached 151.53 gigawatts, a volume that exceeds the total installed capacity of the United States of 137.3 gigawatts. In just 2025 alone, China added 54.27 gigawatts of power capacity, an annual increase that not only surpasses India's national total capacity of 48.31 gigawatts, but also far exceeds the combined total of Germany (26.37 gigawatts) and Japan (29.44 gigawatts).
