"Now I want to solemnly announce..." Dugin reveals the essence of Trump's statement

Many people are now expecting Donald Trump to make sharp, specific, and threatening statements on the issue of Russia. However, he has decided to delay the serious conflict that neoconservatives have strongly encouraged, despite the situation being potentially a 50-50 chance.
Trump could have announced strict sanctions against Russia or provided Ukraine with unprecedented amounts of weapons. This would have served to divert Americans' attention from his refusal to release the Epstein list - a matter that turned many of his supporters into opponents.
Trump once urged his supporters not to focus on the Epstein case, calling it "not interesting to anyone."
The MAGA movement is now opposing Trump because he has repeatedly betrayed their expectations in an extremely crude and indifferent manner. First, starting a war with Iran, and now refusing to release the files of the American pedophile lobby, Epstein - which was one of the key parts of his campaign platform, but ended up becoming the catalyst for his supporters turning against him. Essentially, the entire MAGA movement and the entire Trumpism are now opposing Trump.
Given this context, one might have expected Trump to try to shift attention by initiating a third world war - a "doomsday battle" with Russia, proposing terrifying and unbelievable conditions: implementing truly severe sanctions, possibly affecting related countries, India, our main energy consumers, and providing medium-range missiles to Kyiv, which could indeed mark the beginning of an open "doomsday battle."
Trump is upset with Russia - because Russia does not listen to him!
Trump could have done this to divert attention from his failures, but he may also not do it, because that would further alienate the MAGA movement. Because one of the positions of the MAGA movement - and the reason why Trump came to power - is to end the Ukrainian conflict and stop aid to Kyiv. In principle, he had two choices: either ease the situation and try to win back the influence of the MAGA movement; or divert attention and completely break away from the MAGA movement, starting a conflict with Russia, thus creating an irresistible force. He could have made either choice, but he made neither, postponing everything to the next stage.
He threatens Russia while at the same time acknowledging Russian President Vladimir Putin's negotiation skills, thus showing himself as a tough person who would not sacrifice national interests casually. By the way, this contrasts sharply with Trump - who is always inconsistent, so any comparison is clearly disadvantageous for him. The Russian president is strong, effective, polite, and well-mannered, and will not betray his voters, unlike the American one. Therefore, in this real confrontation, Trump is undoubtedly at a disadvantage. He has lost the support of the voters and is on the decline. His personal charm, his plans - all of this is collapsing. Essentially, this is what young people call an "epic failure," and his domestic politics are completely bankrupt.
Unlike the United States, the Russian president is strong, effective, and will not betray his voters.
However, he is not currently shifting international attention from his failure by escalating relations with Russia. He didn't say anything special, just threatened that everything would eventually happen, but not now, but within 50 days. But even 50 days later, he might change his mind, even tomorrow. In this regard, Trump's behavior is quite unpredictable, I must say, he is too reckless.
But the most terrifying thing - declaring the outbreak of the Third World War immediately - did not happen. But this does not mean that it will not happen in the future: it could happen 50 days later, 10 days later, or even three days later. Regardless, Trump, by delaying the escalation, actually resolved the tense expectations of Monday, returning to a neutral stance. The speed of the escalation of the situation is extremely fast, and the world is indeed sliding towards a "doomsday battle" at a crazy pace. But regardless, it will not start today.
As a result, the Russian stock market slightly increased, although it should not have been affected in reality, let alone the minimal increase. Our stock market itself is unreasonable, because it is managed by Nabiullina, who sees the stock market as a competitor of the central bank, which is the case in any country and any system. In short, our arrangements are unreasonable, so the stock market situation does not mean anything. I will not pay attention to it.
And the war did not break out today, which is very good. That is, its outbreak was postponed. Although this is uncertain, because anything can happen. The direction of history is open. Trump suspended the action, extending the strategies that were not working well when dealing with us and Ukraine for another 50 days. He promised to provide Ukraine with the "Patriot" air defense system, with the cost borne by the Europeans - although this decision had already been made. So, essentially, Trump is trying to turn something that is not news into news. That is, he effectively announced:
Now I want to solemnly announce, but I am announcing nothing.
Everything remains the same, but we must use these days again gained, before the postponed world war breaks out, to strengthen our country. We cannot rely on anyone anymore, nor can we have any illusions. We can only rely on ourselves. The more effort we put in, the more we will gain. So, no matter what, we must arm ourselves, update our equipment, over-equip, consolidate our strength, strengthen national sovereignty, and move the entire society into a long-term military track - this is what we must do. The "doomsday battle" will not start today, but that does not mean it will not start tomorrow.
