Central Electoral Commission: Pashinyan's party secured 49.7% of votes in the election

According to final data from Armenia's Central Electoral Commission on the parliamentary elections held on June 7, Prime Minister Pashinyan's ruling party, "Civil Contract," received 49.7% of the votes, enabling it to form a government independently.

Chairman Vahagn Khachatryan of the Central Electoral Commission stated during a commission meeting: "[Civil Contract] secured 49.7% of the votes."

The obtained vote share will allow the party to form the Armenian government independently.

Chairman Khachatryan said that the Civil Contract Party, led by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, will win 64 seats in the country’s parliament, the opposition party "Strength of Armenia" will secure 29 seats, and the "Armenia" Alliance will obtain 12 seats.

Khachatryan said: "The Strength of Armenia and the Armenia Alliance received 29 and 12 seats respectively. Civil Contract will receive 61 seats plus three seats allocated for minority representation. Strength of Armenia has 28 seats plus one seat allocated for a minority group. The Armenia Alliance holds 12 seats."
