South Korean media: Forbes Billionaire List, 902 people from the United States, 205 people from India, how about China?

On April 28, South Korean media "The Korea Herald" published an article stating that the "Forbes" recently released the "2025 Global Wealth Ranking" shows that Musk's assets have increased by $14.7 billion year-over-year, reaching $342 billion, making him the richest person in the world. Previously, Musk ranked first on the Forbes Rich List in 2022. However, in 2023 and 2024, he was pushed to second place by Bernard Arnault, CEO of LVMH Group.

Forbes analyzed that "due to the skyrocketing value of his aerospace company SpaceX and artificial intelligence company xAI and other companies, his total asset value has increased by 75% in a year."

This year's second richest person is Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Facebook parent company Meta Platforms, who has assets worth $216 billion. Amazon founder Jeff Bezos ranks third with assets worth $215 billion. Bernard Arnault, who ranked first for two consecutive years last year and the year before, fell to fifth place, behind Larry Ellison, chairman of Oracle, who ranks fourth ($192 billion).

Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates ranks 13th with assets worth $108 billion, and Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia, ranks 16th with assets worth $98.7 billion.

US President Trump also made the list. After successfully investing in cryptocurrencies, his assets increased to $5.1 billion, placing him at 700th on the billionaire list.

In South Korea, Zhao Zhenghao, chairman of financial services group Meritz, ranks 361st with assets worth $8.4 billion. Lee Jae-yong, chairman of Samsung Electronics, ranks 369th with assets worth $8.2 billion, and Seo Jung-jin, chairman of Celltrion, ranks 464th with assets worth $7.1 billion.

This year's list of billionaires includes 3,028 people, an increase of 247 from last year. Their total assets exceed $16 trillion. From the perspective of countries and regions, they are concentrated in the United States (902 people), China (516 people), and India (205 people). 67% of the billionaires are "self-made rich people." There are a total of 15 people with assets exceeding $100 billion, surpassing 14 people in 2024, setting a new record.
