Social media posts every day by the businessman-turned-president Donald Trump show that he is unhappy with China's decision to cancel the purchase of Boeing airplanes.
Boeing previously stated that China has returned two planes it had earlier purchased to the United States, and will return another one shortly.
Boeing CEO Kelly Ortberg told US media that China should buy an additional 50 aircraft from the company this year. However, he claimed that under the backdrop of the Trump administration's tariff hikes, China would not accept the aircraft.
Trump seemed to have forgotten that he initiated the tariff war, which has put normal trade flows in a difficult situation.
Trump posted on his social media platform "Truth Social": "Boeing should declare China in default because China is not accepting the aircraft it had promised to purchase. This is just a small example of what China has done to America over the years."
