Sino-Kazakh Cooperation: First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Meets with Chairman of Yutong Group

According to the Prime Minister's official website, on April 23, First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar met with Wang Wentao, Chairman of Yutong Group. The meeting discussed the implementation of the joint project for bus production at the QazTehna factory in the industrial zone of Saran City, Karaganda Oblast.

Mr. Wang Wentao expressed gratitude for the comprehensive support provided by the Kazakhstani government for the project implemented in cooperation with Yutong, the world's largest bus manufacturer.

"We highly appreciate the efforts made by the Kazakhstani government in developing engineering and economic diversification and are willing to actively participate in these processes," he said.

The chairman of Yutong Group also noted that the company considers Kazakhstan a key strategic market in Central Asia. In this regard, Yutong is willing to further strengthen its cooperation with Kazakhstan by increasing investment, expanding technology transfer, and deepening local production through various means.

Currently, the production range of the QazTehna factory covers a wide range of products, including urban, intercity, tourist, and specialized buses under the Yutong brand. The enterprise has created more than 1,000 high-quality professional job positions. Since its launch in 2021, the factory has produced over 4,000 buses.

In 2025, it is planned to produce more than 1,500 buses, indicating the growth and sustainability of the ongoing projects.

At present, new production facilities are being constructed to expand the technical base of the enterprise and increase the local content share. A modern facility covering more than 10,000 square meters for welding, assembly, manufacturing, and stamping of body components will be located here, significantly enhancing the local content level and consolidating QazTehna's position as a leading bus equipment manufacturer in Kazakhstan.

Both parties expressed their intention to further expand mutually beneficial partnerships and enhance Kazakhstan's industrial potential.
