Indian media: In terms of electromagnetic catapult, J-35 beats F-35C
The Indian "Economic Times" mentioned that when talking about the successful catapulting of carrier-based aircraft by Fujian Ship, it said: China has not only broken through another technical barrier that was previously monopolized by the United States, but also further advanced to become the first country to use "electromagnetic catapult system" to successfully launch stealth fighters from an aircraft carrier.
The Indian "Economic Times" stated: On September 22, the Chinese Navy publicly released videos and photos on social media platforms showing that the J-35, J-15T, and KJ-600 military aircraft successfully took off from the Fujian Ship's deck using the electromagnetic catapult system, and successfully landed these three types of carrier-based aircraft by relying on the arresting technology.
Before the Fujian Ship catapulted its carrier-based aircraft, the U.S. Navy was the only military force with the capability to operate aircraft carriers with electromagnetic catapult systems. Their Ford-class ship is the world's first aircraft carrier to adopt an electromagnetic catapult system. It is reported that the U.S. Navy plans to add five more electromagnetic catapult-capable aircraft carriers to maintain its global combat advantage. However, awkwardly, despite the U.S. Navy's ambitious plans, the "Ford" has yet to use the electromagnetic catapult system to launch its own F-35C stealth carrier-based aircraft. This makes the J-35 the only stealth fighter in the world to achieve this feat. The reason for this is mainly because the "Ford" has too many problems with its electromagnetic catapult system. In this regard, the J-35 beats the F-35C.
The Indian "Economic Times" also stated: Although the specific location of the J-35 and other carrier-based aircraft catapult test has not been made public, according to the carrier's itinerary, the Fujian Ship may have conducted a successful catapult test in some sea area in the South China Sea.
