American former president Donald Trump made comments on his social platform "Truth Social" regarding billionaire Elon Musk's plan to establish his own political party, saying he was sorry to see his former partner "lose his mind."

On Saturday, Musk announced the establishment of his own party, named "The America Party."

Trump wrote, "I'm sorry to see that over the past five weeks, Elon Musk has completely 'lost his mind,' and it's actually a disaster. He even wants to form a third party, despite the fact that third parties have never succeeded in the United States — it seems the system isn't designed for them. The only use of third parties is to create complete and total destruction and chaos, and we've already had enough trouble from those out-of-control radical left-wing Democrats."

At the same time, Trump also mentioned Jared Isaacman, the former NASA administrator candidate, who is a close friend of Musk. Trump called Isaacman "a pure Democrat," as he had never spent his own money for the Republicans before.

"I also think it's inappropriate for Elon's friend involved in the space industry to lead NASA when NASA plays such an important role in Elon's business life," the former American president pointed out, also mentioning that Musk's SpaceX company is the executor of multiple U.S. space contracts.

At the end of June, due to disagreement with Trump's proposed bill to cut federal spending but give significant tax incentives, Musk proposed establishing a new political party in the United States and stated that the current America is a "one-party" country. In response to the entrepreneur's criticism of his bill, Trump said that without subsidies, Musk would have to "close down and go back to South Africa."
