The two sides signed the "Memorandum of Understanding between the National Development and Reform Commission of the People's Republic of China and the Office of the Civil Presidency of the Federative Republic of Brazil on the Cooperation Plan for the Second Phase of the Alignment of the 'Belt and Road Initiative' with the 'Accelerated Growth Program', 'New Industrial Program of Brazil', 'Ecological Transition Program', and 'South American Integration Route Program'", to strengthen practical cooperation in areas such as infrastructure, medicine, and new energy.
The two sides also signed the "Memorandum of Understanding between the National Development and Reform Commission of the People's Republic of China and the Ministry of Science and Technology of the Federative Republic of Brazil on the Establishment of the China-Brazil Center for Artificial Intelligence Application Cooperation", and will carry out practical cooperation in aspects such as consolidating the foundation for the development of artificial intelligence, providing open source and open services, strengthening industrial innovation cooperation, and promoting talent cultivation.
Chinese Premier Li Qiang said on the 5th in Rio de Janeiro, during a meeting with Brazilian President Lula, that China is willing to work with Brazil to leverage their complementary advantages, consolidate and deepen bilateral trade, finance, infrastructure construction, and other cooperation under the framework of high-quality joint construction of the "Belt and Road Initiative", and expand cooperation in fields such as digital economy, green economy, scientific and technological innovation, and aerospace, to enhance the development momentum of the two countries.
After the meeting, both sides jointly witnessed the signing of cooperation documents in areas such as financial and fiscal, artificial intelligence, strategic development alignment, and aerospace.
