Foreign media: Russian drones attacked two civilian vessels en route to Ukrainian ports, one of which is Chinese-owned.
According to the Ukrainian Navy report, the Chinese cargo ship hit was named "KSL Deyang," flying the flag of the Marshall Islands, with all crew members being Chinese citizens. Ukrainian Navy spokesperson Pletenychuk stated that the vessel was sailing empty toward the Port of Pivdenne in Odesa Oblast, intending to load iron ore concentrate, when it was struck by a "Shahed" drone at night. The crew handled the damage independently, with no casualties reported, and the ship continued on its way to the destination port.
Ukrainian President Zelenskyy confirmed the incident on social media and directly accused Russia: "Russia could not possibly have been unaware of this ship at sea." He also disclosed that Russian forces launched a large-scale air attack on Ukrainian territory that night, deploying a total of 524 drones and 22 missiles (including ballistic and cruise missiles).
