At the annual meeting of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs on March 26, Putin delivered a speech, claiming that since the outbreak of the U.S.-Iran war, Russia's oil and gas export revenues have surged dramatically — "we don't even have enough burlap sacks to carry the cash."

According to estimates, assuming an oil tax price of $75 per barrel, oil and gas fiscal revenue in April will increase by 70% compared to March, reaching 900 billion rubles, significantly alleviating Russia's fiscal pressure.

However, Putin also stated that these extraordinary profits brought about by war and scarcity are windfall gains that certainly won't last long — this opportunity will close soon. Therefore, we must remain vigilant and avoid arrogance.
