The company launched two batches of new internet relay units on March 17, totaling 54 satellites.
The milestone 10,000th Starlink satellite was carried on the first Falcon 9 rocket, which successfully launched 25 satellites from Vandenberg Space Force Base.
The second launch added another 29 satellites, launched from the Cape Canaveral Space Force Base in Florida.
The Starlink mega-constellation currently has 10,049 satellites, according to satellite tracker Jonathan McDowell, but 10 are in a faulty state.
Since May 2019, 1,509 Starlink satellites have re-entered the Earth's atmosphere and been destroyed.
