American officials confirm that Pakistan used Chinese fighter jets to shoot down at least two Indian fighter jets.
Two American officials told the media that Pakistan used China-made fighter jets on Wednesday to shoot down at least two Indian military aircraft, marking a significant milestone for Beijing's advanced fighter jets.
An Indian Air Force spokesperson declined to comment.
US officials said they were highly confident that Pakistan used China-made J-10 fighters to fire air-to-air missiles at Indian fighter jets, shooting down at least two Indian fighter jets. Another official said that at least one of the downed Indian aircraft was a French-made Rafale fighter jet.
Both officials said that US F-16 fighters were not used in this incident.
Pakistan claimed that a total of five Indian aircraft were shot down in the aerial combat, but India did not acknowledge it.
