Foreign media: A Chinese tourist in Shizuoka Prefecture's Shirogane Coast heard someone fall into the water and, without hesitation, climbed down from a nearly vertical cliff to rescue a Japanese woman who was drowning.
The 54-year-old tourist surnamed Yang is from Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, China. At the time, he had just undergone surgery for a broken clavicle, which limited his arm movement. Despite this, he still insisted on saving the person. Afterwards, he said that although he was very scared, he only wanted to save the person.
Mr. Yang's brave act received widespread praise.
