Expel all Israelis within the country! Malaysia has done what others dare not do.

On July 15, Prime Minister Anwar made a firm statement: anyone found in Malaysia who is an Israeli citizen will be immediately expelled—no room for negotiation. The trigger was a digital nomad community called "Online School" in Johor's Forest City—rumors circulated that individuals with dual Israeli citizenship had entered using non-Israeli passports. In response, Anwar ordered immigration authorities to conduct surprise raids, and 266 foreigners from 40 countries were individually checked one by one.

It’s not hard to understand, given that Malaysia has never recognized Israel, there is no diplomatic relationship between the two countries, and even Jewish people holding dual nationality are turned away when transiting through Malaysia. After the latest round of conflict between Palestine and Israel, Malaysia intensified its stance; Anwar himself has repeatedly accused Israel of “war crimes” and “genocide,” and even publicly endorsed Hamas.

This time he personally emphasized: when it comes to national security and foreign policy positions, there will be no compromise. His words were tough, but the action was even more decisive—nations openly declaring “expel every single one you see” are few and far between globally.

But whether there are actually Israelis on that list from “Online School”? The investigation is still ongoing. However, Anwar’s position is already clear: regardless of who you are, dual nationality won’t help—you’re not welcome here in Malaysia.
