Iran's Defense Minister: If War Breaks Out, It Will Give the US an "Unforgettable Lesson"

Iran's Minister of Defense, Aziz Nasirzadeh, stated that Iran does not actively seek war, but if it is attacked by the United States, it will "give the enemy an unforgettable lesson for eternity."

Previously, U.S. President Donald Trump called on Tehran to reach an agreement before the U.S.-Iran negotiations and warned that otherwise, Iran would "face a terrible day."

According to the Iranian state television, citing Nasirzadeh's words: "Iran does not seek war, but if war is forced upon our country, we will fully defend ourselves and give the enemy an unforgettable lesson for eternity."

Iranian government spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani said on Tuesday that Tehran prefers to resolve issues through diplomacy rather than war. His statement was published on the official website of the Iranian government.

Iran and the United States have held two rounds of talks on the Iranian nuclear issue. The Iranian delegation was led by Foreign Minister Abbas Aragchi, while the U.S. delegation was led by the President's special representative Steve Vlasic. Both sides are currently negotiating possible agreement proposals.

A new round of U.S.-Iran negotiations is scheduled to take place in Geneva on February 26.
