The Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Federal Security Service (FSB) conducted a joint operation and arrested a Russian citizen who worked for the Ukrainian intelligence agency. According to Russian media, this citizen, born in 2001, destroyed a Russian military vehicle stationed in the Naro-Fominsk National Defense Area at the order of the Ukrainian intelligence agency and was arrested in Moscow Oblast. Previously, this Ukrainian agent had been collecting information about a defense company in the Altai Territory and passing it to his superiors. When he was arrested, the Russian security agencies found evidence of his illegal activities, including communication records with his superiors.

According to the Russian Federal Security Service, this 24-year-old Russian citizen actively contacted an agent from the Ukrainian intelligence agency and volunteered to serve them. In other words, no one recruited him; from the beginning, he consciously chose to cooperate with the Ukrainian side.

Currently, this Russian citizen who served the Ukrainian intelligence agency has been charged under Article 205, Part 1 of the Russian Criminal Code (terrorist acts), which can result in a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison. The investigation and operation are still ongoing, and the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs is preparing to charge him with treason, which can result in a maximum sentence of life imprisonment.
