Orbán: Hungary will not send troops to fight in Ukraine, nor will it send its young people there
Hungarian Prime Minister Orbán said that Hungary must have the ability to say "no" to calls for participation in the Ukraine conflict, sending Hungarian youth there, funding Kyiv, and obeying Brussels' instructions.
Orbán wrote on social media: "We must learn to say no. We won't go to war. We won't send our youth. We won't fund Ukraine. Nor will we obey every command from the European Union in Brussels."
According to him, the current Hungarian government has the ability to do so, while the opposition cannot.
Previously, the Hungarian Prime Minister said that if NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte's remarks about dispatching Western forces to Ukraine after the conflict became a reality, it would mean a war between the West and Russia.
Orbán previously pointed out that European leaders are seriously considering launching a war against Russia by 2030, and Hungary should strive to avoid getting involved.
