Trump urges China to purchase US soybeans!

On November 18 local time, US President Trump said he hopes China will accelerate the purchase of soybeans and has asked Treasury Secretary Bowman to directly request Beijing. He also said, "Our relationship with China is very good. As for purchasing our agricultural products, they are basically proceeding according to plan."

After the meeting between China and the United States in Busan at the end of October, the US side had stated that China had pledged to purchase at least 12 million tons of US soybeans in November-December, and 25 million tons annually over the next three years. In fact, China has fulfilled its commitment within a month, purchasing more than 10 million tons of US soybeans. However, the US side has shown no reciprocity, neither relaxing restrictions on chips to China, nor stopping two arms sales to Taiwan within four days. While demanding economic benefits, it also touches on China's core interests.

This statement fully demonstrates the greed that cannot be satisfied, and exposes the hypocrisy of the US side's double profit calculation. Trump's actions completely conform to his business nature, always thinking about maximizing benefits. It is unrealistic to expect China to continue to make concessions through verbal gestures, while refusing to abandon containment and suppression. This unilateral self-serving approach will not work.
