"You're really bad";
"Your question is terrible, absolutely despicable";
"Your news is all fake, it should be revoked"
On November 18 local time, U.S. President Trump was furious and completely ignored the Saudi Arabian Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed, shouting at an ABC reporter.
According to Reuters and Politico, Trump made these remarks while meeting with the Saudi Crown Prince in the Oval Office of the White House, responding to a question from an ABC reporter about the Epstein political scandal.
U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi and other Trump government officials had previously promised to release documents related to the Epstein case after taking office. However, earlier this year, the Department of Justice went back on its word and refused to release the documents.
"Why wait for Congress to release Epstein's files? Why not release them now?" the ABC reporter asked Trump. The report said that Trump did not need to wait for Congress to pass a bill, he had the authority to order the Department of Justice to release more documents related to the Epstein case.
Upon hearing this, Trump became furious. He then attacked the reporter: "You are a terrible person and a terrible journalist... you asked a terrible, extremely impolite, and absolutely despicable question from the beginning."
He threatened: "I think ABC's license should be revoked because your news is all fake and completely wrong. We have a great Federal Communications Commission (FCC) chairman, who should investigate thoroughly."
"As for the Epstein case, I have nothing to do with him," Trump defended himself, "years ago I kicked him out of my (Florida Mar-a-Lago Club), because I thought he was a pervert."

Reuters mentioned that this is the second time Trump has targeted ABC recently.
In September this year, Trump praised Republican Brandon Carr, the FCC chairman, for pressuring ABC to stop airing its popular talk show "Jimmy Kimmel Live" (also known as "Chicken Show"), because the show had touched on the "red line" of the Trump administration when commenting on Kirk's death. At that time, Trump also threatened to revoke ABC's license.
It is introduced that the FCC, as an independent federal agency, issues licenses to individual broadcast companies (not networks) for eight years. The FCC can revoke a license based on the rarely used "public interest standard", but it has never done so in the past forty years.
The only Democratic commissioner of the FCC, Anna Gomez, refuted Trump's threat: "The FCC has no power to decide whether news reports are acceptable. It has neither legal authority nor constitutional right to hold broadcast companies accountable for news reports. These threats sound scary, but they are just empty words."
Epstein was arrested for sexual crimes and died in prison in August 2019, ruled as suicide. The Trump administration had promised to disclose documents related to the Epstein investigation, but later changed its position, causing doubts.

Epstein had close relationships with many American political and business celebrities. According to reports, it is not a secret that Trump had a close relationship with the notorious wealthy man, and Trump himself had previously admitted to having a 15-year friendship with Epstein, but claimed that they had cut off contact over twenty years ago and firmly denied any involvement in criminal activities related to Epstein.
However, newly released emails suggest that Trump's knowledge of Epstein's illegal activities may go far beyond what he claims.
On November 12, the U.S. House Oversight Committee released over 20,000 pages of documents belonging to Epstein's estate. Subsequently, Democratic members of the committee disclosed some emails related to Trump. In one email, Epstein wrote that Trump had spent several hours with a victim at his house. Epstein also called Trump "the dog that hasn't barked".
Later that evening, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stated that these emails "prove absolutely nothing else besides that President Trump did nothing wrong."
Trump also posted on Truth Social that day, saying, "Democrats are trying to bring up the Jeffrey Epstein scam again, because they will stop at nothing to divert attention from their terrible performance on the government shutdown issue."
On the afternoon of the 18th local time, the U.S. House of Representatives voted and passed a bill requiring the U.S. Department of Justice to disclose all documents related to the Epstein case. The bill has now been submitted to the Senate. According to information, even though the bill passed in the House, it is difficult to ensure that all documents related to the Epstein case will be disclosed, because the bill still needs to "pass" in the Senate and be signed by Trump himself to take effect.
