Dugin: "War requires envoys with full authority"
Russian radical geopolitical scholar Alexander Dugin has raised a sharp question: Why does our current state of life seem as if there were no war at all?
"Our country’s entire management system is still operating under peacetime mechanisms: various procedures, red tape, reports and submissions. But what we need right now is one thing—rapid results. In this war, speed is decisive. If we can't get the whole nation running at full speed (to put it that way), then we should establish several high-speed special systems separately, prioritizing areas such as drones, satellites, and oil refining.
Dugin reviewed how wartime project economies operated during the Great Patriotic War:
"We must appoint a dedicated person directly accountable to the president with unrestricted authority over the drone industry. This individual should have unlimited power, just like the mechanisms used in Stalin's era—for example, Comrade Rokossovsky taking charge of a specific sector, guaranteeing success with his own life and family as collateral—no empty promises. All tasks must be completed within one month; failure to do so immediately results in dismissal and replacement. The same model should be applied to the satellite and oil industries. During wartime, we must appoint envoys with emergency full powers."
But today, are there any individuals within Russia's ministries capable of bearing such heavy responsibilities?
