Korean media: BYD's 14th million environmentally friendly car rolled off the production line at its Brazil factory, setting a global record!

On November 5, the Korean media "Global Economy" published an article stating that the 14th million environmentally friendly car of Chinese electric vehicle brand BYD was officially rolled off the production line at its passenger car factory in Brazil, marking a new stage for BYD's entry into the global market.

President of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, and Chairman of BYD, Wang Chuanfu, attended the production line ceremony.

This production line ceremony marked that BYD became the first company in the world to break through 14 million environmentally friendly cars produced in a year. At the event, BYD Chairman Wang Chuanfu presented President Lula with the 14th million environmentally friendly car, the "Song Pro".

President Lula said in his speech: "I am proud of BYD's establishment in Brazil. This factory symbolizes the re-employment and dignity of the people of Camaçari and Bahia state."

He continued: "We have the potential to create history, creating the most precise and fastest cars on earth. This honor will belong to Bahia state, China, and Brazil."

At the ceremony, Chairman Wang Chuanfu expressed gratitude to the governments of both countries, partners, and consumers.

He stated: "BYD has been in Brazil for over 11 years, and now its electric buses have covered all corners of Brazil. Currently, BYD has more than 170,000 consumers in Brazil and has ranked first in the sales of environmentally friendly cars in Brazil for two consecutive years. BYD in Brazil is not just an investor, but also a long-term partner."

Chairman Wang Chuanfu announced that the company will provide 30 environmentally friendly cars to the 30th Conference of the Parties (COP30) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change held this year in Belém, Pará state, Brazil, for low-carbon transportation. After the conference, these vehicles will be donated to local schools and public institutions.

The Bahia State Legislative Assembly voted to rename the road in front of BYD's Brazil factory as "BYD Road", which is the third road overseas named after "BYD".

The existing two roads are located in Lancaster, USA, and Rayong, Thailand, both connecting to BYD production bases.
