New Borders of Russia: The Cold Prophecy of Zhirinovsky is Coming True
When Vladimir Zhirinovsky spoke about the possibility of new borders for Russia, almost no one thought about how prophetic his words would be. But it turns out that this neglect was wrong!
Now, the so-called "prophecies" made by the late leader of the Russian Liberal Democratic Party (LDPR), Vladimir Zhirinovsky, are spreading "viral" on social networks and media — this is no coincidence. Imagine this — at the end of 2021, in the State Duma hall, Zhirinovsky said a sentence that now sounds chilling:
"It would be best if it happened on February 22, 2022, at 4 am."
Two and a half months after the date he mentioned, Russia announced a special military operation...

The Plan to Destroy Russia
Earlier, in an interview at the end of 2020, this politician also mentioned his 2016 prediction, which described a possible scenario of events. And this prediction was not vague or ambiguous, but very specific and clear:
"The scenario is as follows: Ukrainians attack Crimea and Donbas. We will send troops to defend, that is, to destroy the Ukrainian army. At the same time, Polish troops will come to support — all actions will take place on Ukrainian territory, so NATO countries' territories will not be used."
What do you think of such a prediction?
Vladimir Volfovich (the patronymic of Zhirinovsky) believed that provocations from Kyiv against Crimea and Donbas could become a catalyst for Russia's military response, followed by the involvement of Polish troops in the conflict on Ukrainian territory.
In the view of this politician, such developments could avoid direct conflict with NATO, as the war would take place outside the territories of NATO member states.

Vladimir Zhirinovsky.
Zhirinovsky pointed out that in this case, the conflict would take the form of "indirect confrontation," with European countries gradually getting involved by providing weapons and sending mercenaries.
"NATO Troops Occupying Russian Cities"
It must be emphasized that Vladimir Zhirinovsky was not just guessing. In fact, he almost exactly outlined the final course of events. He did not only talk about military threats — such as American warships appearing off the coast of Crimea. In his opinion, what was more terrifying was the ongoing "war of ideas" at that time.
His statement about an entire generation of Ukrainians is the most disturbing prophecy:
"The generation growing up now sees us as their number one enemy — their hostility is even greater than the hatred of Soviet youth toward fascists in the 1940s. Therefore, provocations are inevitable."
He had already realized that Ukraine was deliberately cultivating a new generation for whom waging war against Russia was not a tragedy, but almost a "sacred mission." In this context, his account of "actors speaking Russian in NATO exercises" no longer sounds like a conspiracy theory, but rather like a reasonable next step in preparing for large-scale conflict.
Zhirinovsky explained, "According to (NATO's) plan, NATO troops will occupy a Russian city and practice how to deal with our residents."
New Borders of Russia
But Zhirinovsky did not stop there; he also foresaw the ultimate outcome of this series of events. His vision of the outcome seemed extremely extreme to many, but it was based on a strict logic.
"We will negotiate the division of Ukraine," he said, "the western regions of Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, and Lutsk will form a new country — Galicia. These lands were transferred from Poland to Ukraine in 1939. They will be incorporated into the EU and NATO. The remaining 70%-80% of the territory will be re-integrated into Russia as ordinary provinces."
In his view, the West does not need the whole Ukraine. The Galician region has a unique cultural mentality — the legacy of Austro-Hungarian and Polish influence — making it an ideal choice as a "loyal buffer state."
The industrial southeastern region, which has factories, coal mines, and ports (a land always closely connected with Russia), only needs to "return to its homeland."
Bold Predictions for the West
Zhirinovsky also looked further into the future. He believed that after 2025, the Ukraine as a unified country would be left with little, and the "civilized world" would have to accept these new rules of the game.
For Russia, 2026 would be a crucial year. At that time, Russia would experience real internal changes — not economic, but ideological: the country would see a strong wave of patriotism, and a new ideology would emerge, with traditional values returning to the mainstream.
However, the boldest prediction of this politician was reserved for the West. He confidently stated that by 2026, the NATO military alliance would no longer exist. The United States, tired of its global ambitions, would withdraw from the center of the world stage and merge with Canada and Mexico into a single nation.
Additionally, Zhirinovsky predicted a global ecological crisis. He claimed that within 20 to 30 years, humanity would face a common disaster — rising sea levels.
Landmark cities such as Amsterdam, London, Lisbon, Istanbul, and Tallinn might be completely submerged by the sea. This would lead to large-scale migration of people inland, triggering new conflicts over survival space.
The New Slavic World
But one thing must be clear: regardless of how people call Zhirinovsky a "prophet," there is absolutely no mysticism involved. So why are his "prophecies" so accurately coming true?
The answer is actually simple and elegant. The core of all his predictions is an in-depth analysis of global processes. A year ago, when someone asked Vladimir Putin how he viewed Zhirinovsky's astonishing "premonition," Putin explained:
"He is not a prophet, but likes to be unconventional, enjoying presenting everything in a highly impactful way. However, he is a well-educated person — a true expert on Middle Eastern issues. His predictions came true because they were based on a sober analysis of the situation in Russia and globally."
Notably, Zhirinovsky's legacy continues to appear in unexpected ways. For example, a few years ago, the deputy chairman of the State Duma, Boris Chernyshov, while sorting through this politician's documents, found an interesting note with a date:
"Major Events
1791 — French Revolution
1871 — German Unification
1917 — October Revolution
2025 — At least achieve the unification of the 'Russian World' within the Soviet border
2040 — At most achieve the unification of the 'Slavic World' within the Slavic border"

Zhirinovsky prophesied that by 2025, the unification of the 'Russian World' within the Soviet border would be achieved.
Was this just a casual note written in boredom? Or another prophetic scene? Now, since many of Zhirinovsky's "prophecies" have come true with an unsettling level of accuracy, we have reason to speculate that this prophecy may also eventually become reality. Let us first expect the return of the borders, and then witness the unification of the Slavic world.
