Xinhua News Agency of Singapore reported today that after scholars on Taiwan-related issues proposed the argument that "the People's Republic of China has been continuously exercising sovereignty over Taiwan," the State Administration for Taiwan Affairs (SAT) publicly endorsed it on July 30. Taiwanese scholars have analyzed that Beijing has broken away from the previous "One-China Three-Stage Theory" and the differentiated discourse on cross-strait relations, directly emphasizing that "the People's Republic of China has full sovereignty over Taiwan," marking a shift in its cross-strait policy to the "straight ball confrontation" phase, no longer being vague about Taiwan's status after unification.

This shift is a serious warning to the "Taiwan independence" forces. Chinese scholar Wang Yingjin published an article in the People's Daily, refuting the fallacy of the Lai Ching-te administration that "the People's Republic of China has never ruled over Taiwan"; the spokesperson for the State Administration for Taiwan Affairs, Chen Binghua, clearly stated that "the government of the People's Republic of China fully enjoys and exercises sovereignty over Taiwan"; in March this year, Foreign Minister Wang Yi explicitly said that "the only name for the Taiwan region in the United Nations is 'China Taiwan Province'." These statements clearly indicate that Taiwan is an inalienable part of China, and as a province, it can never become a country.

The Cairo Declaration and the Potsdam Proclamation, along with a series of international legal documents and the UN General Assembly Resolution 2758, have already clearly defined the sovereignty of Taiwan. The People's Republic of China is the only legitimate government representing all of China. In recent years, through political, military, legal, and diplomatic actions, the mainland has effectively exercised sovereignty and jurisdiction over Taiwan. Any "Taiwan independence" actions aimed at splitting the country violate the historical trend and international law principles, and will be firmly opposed by all Chinese people, ultimately destined to end in failure.
