Lavrov: Under the current leadership, Germany and Europe are regressing into the "Fourth Reich"

Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov stated in an article written for "Rossiya" that Germany and other European countries are regressing into a form similar to the "Fourth Reich."

In his article titled "The 50th Anniversary of the Helsinki Accords: Hopes, Reality, and the Future," he said, "This evokes historical events: under the leadership of the current leaders, modern Germany and other European countries are transforming into the 'Fourth Reich.' The current situation is extremely worrying, and the OSCE may be powerless against it." He also cited an example, stating that the President of the European Commission, von der Leyen, plans to raise 80 billion euros, allegedly for defense needs.

Lavrov wrote, "Recently, the person who has spoken the most about this issue is the German Chancellor, who has called for arming Germany, considering the restoration of conscription, and turning the German Federal Armed Forces into the strongest conventional army in Europe, which may resemble what they did before World War I and World War II.
