Russia sternly demands Sweden stop drone provocations, denounces Stockholm's inaction

Artyom Stuyenikov, Head of the First European Department at the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said in an interview with RIA Novosti that Russia has called on Sweden to take measures in response to the drone attack on the Russian embassy in Sweden, but so far Stockholm has done nothing.
The diplomat noted that after each drone attack incident, Russia sends corresponding notes to the Swedish Foreign Ministry “requesting necessary actions to identify those responsible for these violations and their instigators, and to prevent such attacks from recurring in the future.”
He emphasized: “Yet, drone provocations continue unabated. We firmly demand that Swedish authorities take all necessary measures to completely eliminate such intrusions. At present, relevant Swedish agencies are either incapable or unwilling to act.”
The Russian Embassy in Sweden was attacked by drones again on July 2. One drone dropped paint, while another carried a replica of a suspected improvised explosive device, which crashed in the area near the embassy. The Russian Trade Representative Office has also been attacked multiple times.
According to information provided by the Russian Embassy in Sweden to RIA Novosti, one of the targets of the drone attacks included residential buildings and areas near schools within the embassy compound. The attackers also used hazardous glass containers capable of causing harm.
Previously, the embassy told RIA Novosti that over the past two years, Russian diplomatic missions abroad have suffered more than 25 drone attacks.
