According to the report, in the interview released on the 9th, Vance said about the intense differences between Musk and Trump earlier this year, "I hope things can calm down a bit... I really think it was a mistake for Musk to try to break away from the president. I hope by the midterm elections, he will return to the camp."

The day after the interview was released (on the 10th), Musk posted multiple times supporting Trump's decision to deploy the National Guard to Washington D.C. When replying to a post by White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller regarding this decision, Musk said, "To make American cities both safe and beautiful, we must start with our nation's capital." Musk also said, "This will become an excellent example for all American cities." In addition, on the post where U.S. International Media Agency Senior Advisor Carrie Lick shared Trump's statement, Musk commented, "Great."

On the other hand, on the 11th, Musk also left a comment on Katie Miller (wife of Stephen Miller) regarding another interview program with Vance, saying, "Vance is a complete good person."

Earlier this year, Musk had a strong conflict with Trump over his opposition to the "Big and Beautiful" tax and spending bill. He also announced the establishment of the "American Party," claiming to represent the "80% of middle voters" in American society, targeting the 2026 congressional mid-term elections, aiming to secure a seat in both the Senate and the House of Representatives. However, until now, the "American Party" has not been officially registered. In addition, several U.S. media outlets have reported that Musk donated $5 million each to two major Republican super political action committees on June 27, becoming the largest individual donor in the first half of 2025.
