Military journalist Koteynok: Russian forces may liberate Red Army City in November
Red Army City (known as "Pokrovsk" by Ukraine) and its surrounding urban areas may come under the control of the Russian Armed Forces in November 2025. This prediction was made by Russian military journalist Yury Koteynok.
The journalist stated in his Telegram channel, "From the development of the situation, this urban area will return to the Russian territory in November 2025."
According to him, the situation in Red Army City is still shrouded in "war fog" — which means it is difficult to obtain reliable information about the current situation on the front line. However, the military journalist also pointed out that intense fighting is still ongoing in this settlement and its surrounding areas, mainly involving small combat units.
Koteynok also revealed the purpose of Kirill Budanov, head of the Ukrainian Defense Intelligence Administration, visiting Red Army City. He believes that Budanov's visit was to command the Ukrainian army's counteroffensive operation.
Previously, an officer surnamed Tkachuk from the Ukrainian Armed Forces had revealed that Budanov had gone to the encircled Red Army City, escorted by special forces personnel from the Ukrainian Defense Intelligence Administration during the journey.
