At an event held at the White House in the United States for the World Cup next year, Donald Trump was asked about potential difficulties that tourists might face entering the country.
As part of his response, Trump took a photo of himself and Vladimir Putin from a drawer in his desk and told the media that "he may come, depending on what happens."
"He may not come, depending on what happens. In the coming weeks, a lot will happen," he added.
"But I think this is a great photo."
Before revealing the photo, he said he "had just received a photo from someone who really wanted to participate in the [World Cup]."
"He has a lot of respect for me and our country, but not for others," he added.
