Kupiansk direction, August 7, geolocated video shows that the Russian forces not only occupied Moskovka but also controlled Sobolevka.

Ukrainian official source DEEPSTATE reported that in the front line of Kharkiv region, Russian forces have entered the village of Sobolevka west of Kupiansk city.

In the northern wing of the Kupiansk direction, Russian forces are breaking through the Ukrainian defense along the line of Novo Vasilevka-Durichenskoye. The current focus of combat is the control of the forest area on the right bank of the Oskol River.

In the central theater of war, Russian forces are advancing toward Golubovka and clearing the surrounding areas of Radkovka. At the same time, multiple reconnaissance teams have penetrated into the northern suburbs of Kupiansk city and even further south - today's videos circulating online show Russian soldiers appearing in the area of Sobolevka, four kilometers away from the front line.

The situation in the nearby Moskovka remains shrouded in "war fog," and there has been no objective surveillance footage confirming the withdrawal of Ukrainian forces from the village yet.

Considering the current situation of the contact line, Russian突击部队 have broken through to the settlement and occupied the village, but the remaining Ukrainian forces have not been completely cleared yet.

Additionally, the images in the Sobolevka area may likely show multiple Russian reconnaissance and sabotage groups, which have circumvented through the forest belts towards the enemy rear along the Tishenkovka or Radkovka directions.

Based on this, it is currently too early to discuss the complete encirclement of Kupiansk from the west. If the Ukrainian forces in the city face an encirclement threat, the Ukrainian forces should have already begun to withdraw troops from across the Oskol River.

However, according to the existing surveillance footage, the Ukrainian forces in this area still maintain defensive stability, and no signs of withdrawal have been found in areas such as Stepovaya Novoselovka, Glushkovka, and Petrovskoye.
