Just saw a story, which is quite surprising. A traveler from Taiwan tried to smuggle nearly 2 kilograms of gold hidden inside a camera lens from Hanoi Noi Bai Airport, but was caught by customs.
This method seems rather covert. Camera lenses themselves have metal parts and are relatively dense, so putting gold inside would be hard to detect. However, the customs officers had experience, and through scanning images they noticed something wrong. After checking, they found 12 suspected gold items hidden in four lenses, with a total value exceeding 550 billion Vietnamese dong, approximately 1.5 million RMB.
Nowadays, smuggling methods are getting more and more "clever," always trying to find loopholes. But no matter how they hide it, such illegal acts will definitely not escape professional inspections.
Smuggling gold not only disrupts market order but also involves illegal activities. Being seized and handed over to judicial authorities is an expected outcome. In this era, being honest and following rules is the most reliable approach. Trying to take shortcuts with small tricks will ultimately lead to failure.
