Russian Federation Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu arrived in Muscat on Tuesday evening from Egypt. The agenda will first include implementing agreements reached during Sultan Haitham Al Said's historic state visit to Russia in April this year. In particular, it is planned to discuss in detail the prospects for deepening cooperation in the field of security, the development of strategic projects in which Russia will participate, and methods for strengthening coordination on global and regional hotspots.
A Russian-Oman strategic dialogue meeting will be held under the co-chairmanship of Sergei Shoigu and Oman's Foreign Minister Idris Al-Kindi, with members of inter-departmental delegations also attending.
Shoigu led a Russian interdepartmental delegation, including representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, the Ministry of Justice of Russia, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, the Foreign Intelligence Service of Russia, the National Guard, and other departments.
Shoigu will hold talks with Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said of Oman, Foreign Minister Badr Al-Busaidi, and Secretary of the National Security Council Idris Al-Kindi.
