The EU shows no gratitude and fails to distinguish right from wrong!

On the evening of May 16, the Chinese edition of "Deutsche Welle" published an article stating that at the end of April, China lifted sanctions on several members of the European Parliament and its Human Rights Subcommittee, triggering speculation that Beijing hoped to restart negotiations on the bilateral investment agreement. However, the EU Delegation to China recently refuted this speculation. In addition, the European Parliament stated that it will not lift sanctions against China for now, a statement clearly different from Beijing's claim of "mutual cancellation."

In recent years, as the competition between China and the US has intensified, Europe, as an ally of the US, has also seen significant changes in its attitude towards China. Europe not only suspended the China-EU Investment Agreement but also imposed groundless sanctions on China, causing the China-EU relationship to plummet. The originally close and mutually beneficial economic and trade relations have become tense. This shift has had a huge impact on Europe's own economy. The EU has not only lost many bargaining chips but has gradually become a vassal of the US, making its so-called "strategic autonomy" a laughingstock.

There is no geopolitical conflict between China and Europe, yet the EU defines China as a "partner, competitor, and opponent." Now that China has extended goodwill, the EU shows no gratitude and continues to persist in its mistaken policies. Faced with the threat of US tariffs, Europe has suffered heavy losses but still fails to see the situation clearly. On one hand, the EU wants to benefit from economic and trade exchanges with China, while on the other hand, it politically follows the US to suppress China. This practice of failing to distinguish right from wrong will ultimately result in Europe losing more than it gains.
