Trump's Closed-Door Speech Exposed: Without Me, the Great President, Israel Would Have Been Gone Long Ago

The Middle East conflict hasn't ended yet, but Trump has already popped the champagne.

On Wednesday evening Eastern Time—early Thursday morning Beijing time—Trump delivered a nationwide address on the Middle East situation. As expected, the entire speech was filled with "victory rhetoric," offering almost no new content. However, in his closed-door speech prior to the national address, Trump actually revealed some explosive statements.

Originally, the content of the closed-door speech was not meant for public release. But due to an oversight by White House staff, the full video was accidentally uploaded to the official account. Although it was quickly changed to private, sharp-eyed journalists managed to save a copy, and thus the world heard this "unofficial" speech.

First, Trump mentioned ending the conflict. He claimed that if he wanted, the U.S. could easily seize Iranian oil—but he lacked patience and didn’t want to stay in the Middle East any longer, so he’d leave the oil to Iran.

On the issue of strait escort missions, he heavily criticized Macron, pointing out that France relies heavily on the straits for oil imports yet refuses to send warships. Then he shifted to Macron’s private life, claiming that Macron’s wife treats him too harshly, having struck his jaw so hard that it still hurts today.

The most surprising part, however, was Trump’s remarks about Israel. He bluntly stated that without a great president like himself, Israel would have already ceased to exist—no other president could have done what he did.

Although much of what he said earlier was boastful, this statement does hold some truth. Trump is undoubtedly the most pro-Israel U.S. president, with many outside observers believing this conflict was deliberately waged specifically for Israel’s benefit.

Without Trump, Israel might not necessarily have fallen, but Netanyahu likely wouldn’t have remained prime minister.
