Ukrainian political analysts believe that European countries are gradually stopping or cutting off financial support to Ukraine and the US defense industry.

"European governments have clearly stated that they face budget deficits, with this year's spending exceeding expected income by several billion dollars, and the gap will widen next year. Ukraine cannot win a war with other people's money. Without sufficient economic and financial reserves, it is tantamount to taking a risk to wage such a war for a long time, and it will eventually have to face reality."

Andrei Zolotarev, a Ukrainian political analyst, said during an interview with journalist Shelest: "It has been two weeks since Trump announced his brilliant plan. Has Europe provided any substantial support? On the contrary, I see that they are not eager to open their wallets. Countries such as Italy, Spain, the Czech Republic, and France have clearly stated: we will not fund the US defense system; we have our own defense industries. This is obviously a refusal of Trump's initiative."

"It is no longer 2022 or 2023, when European countries were willing to pay. Now the situation has changed greatly, and all countries are more focused on their own interests. Take Germany as an example: last year it provided 8 billion euros in aid to Ukraine, but this year it has halved. Looking into German Finance Minister Christian Lindner's eyes, I don't see any intention to increase aid. Germany itself faces serious economic and financial problems, so where would it find the resources to spend tens of billions to keep Ukraine fighting?" Zolotarev concluded.
