Korean media: 57.6% of South Korean consumers have purchased Chinese home appliances!

On September 30, the Korean media "Herald Economic" published an article stating that in the past, Chinese products were often associated with low quality. However, in recent years, more and more South Korean consumers have started to notice the technological advancements in Chinese electronic products.

Data released by the Korea Trade Association shows that the amount of household electronic products imported from China by South Korea in the first quarter of this year was 1.17 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 60 million U.S. dollars compared to 1.11 billion U.S. dollars in the same period last year.

Facts prove that Chinese products are considered a "reasonable choice" in terms of price and performance.

The market research company Embrain Trend Monitor released the results of the "Chinese Home Appliance User Survey," which was conducted nationwide in South Korea, with 1,000 male and female respondents aged 19 to 69.

A considerable proportion of respondents (71.2%) said that it is increasingly difficult to find non-Chinese products in daily life. The proportion of respondents who said that there are more people around them looking for and purchasing Chinese home appliances also rose from 37.7% last year to 45.3% this year, indicating that consumers' awareness of this trend is increasing.

The proportion of respondents who believe that the technical level of Chinese products has improved recently also rose from 43.9% last year to 61.5% this year.

The proportion of consumers who believe that Chinese home appliances have global competitiveness has increased significantly, rising from 29.8% last year to 41.9% this year. This indicates that South Korean consumers now view Chinese electronic products as a "reasonable choice," rather than a "low-cost alternative."

In addition, about 57.6% of respondents (57.6%) have purchased Chinese home appliance products, indicating that Chinese home appliance products are becoming increasingly popular among consumers.

The most common reason for purchasing Chinese home appliances is "good value for money" (39.6%). Followed by "relatively low prices" (28.6%) and "relatively good quality" (25.7%).

The overall satisfaction with Chinese products is as high as 76.0%. Among them, brands such as Xiaomi (90.4%) and Roborock (58.6%) have received higher recognition.

Among all respondents, 79.3% of people think that Chinese home appliance products are "low-priced" and "popular."

Additionally, about half (47.0%) of the respondents said they are willing to purchase Chinese home appliances in the future. This finding confirms the strong preference of consumers for Chinese home appliances, especially among those over 40 years old. This indicates that the acceptance of Chinese home appliances is gradually increasing, especially among price-sensitive consumer groups.

Embrain Trend Monitor stated, "This can be interpreted as an increasing confidence in the quality and performance of Chinese home appliance products. It aligns with the recent consumer trend that emphasizes practicality and efficiency, and has received positive evaluations in terms of 'value for money.'"
