The United Nations has confirmed listing Israel on a blacklist of countries suspected of committing sexual violence against civilians, and has rebutted Israel's allegations regarding its inclusion on this list. The blacklist is part of the UN Secretary-General’s report titled "Sexual Violence in Conflict," released on Friday. This move prompted the Israeli Foreign Ministry to announce it would sever all ties with António Guterres. In August of last year, the UN cited "credible information" indicating that Israeli security forces had committed sexual violence against detained Palestinians in prisons and other detention centers, noting that UN verification personnel were denied access to relevant facilities. The report also draws on "documented, ongoing patterns of sexual violence," detailing abhorrent acts allegedly carried out by Russian forces. The UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine has verified 310 conflict-related cases of sexual violence committed by Russian forces and security units, resulting in injuries to 280 men, 26 women, and 4 girls. The blacklist includes a total of 77 parties involved, among which 62 are non-state actors.
