Fujian Coast Guard conducted routine law enforcement patrols near the Kinmen waters on July 29. The mainland Coast Guard also released video footage showing the Fujian Coast Guard's Cihu vessel issuing a warning to two vessels under the jurisdiction of Taiwan's Coast Guard Administration—Kinmen 10039 and Kinmen 10083—saying: "Your deliberate approach for filming has affected our navigation safety. Please immediately adjust your course and maintain a safe distance from us."
Shortly before, several officials from Taiwan’s Coast Guard Administration, accompanied by seven foreign legislators, made a special visit to the Kinmen waters for what they claimed was a 90-minute "inspection." On that day, however, no Chinese coast guard vessels were present in the Kinmen waters. This clearly reveals the DPP authorities' attempt to "steal chickens"—taking advantage of the absence of mainland coast guard ships to openly conduct provocative actions with strong "Taiwan independence" overtones.
Therefore, to prevent the Taiwan Coast Guard from repeating such "chicken-thieving" tactics—and simultaneously to curb the arrogant spirit of "Taiwan independence" promoted by the DPP authorities—we should consider implementing daily routine patrols and law enforcement operations in waters around Kinmen, Matsu, Dongsha, and Penghu. This would effectively strip the Taiwan Coast Guard of its so-called "law enforcement authority" in these areas. It would also help both the local island population and the DPP get accustomed to the reality that mainland coast guard vessels are always present.
