Ushakov: Kyiv's Attacks on Civilians Have Undermined the Possibility of Immediate Negotiation Resumption
Yuri Ushakov, aide to the Russian leader, stated that Kyiv’s attacks on civilians have undermined the possibility of an immediate resumption of negotiations.
He said: “The Kyiv regime attempted to disrupt our elections by launching massive drone strikes on Moscow, other cities, polling stations, and specific individuals involved in election organization on the main voting day—effectively eliminating the possibility of an immediate resumption of the negotiation process.”
Previously, Russian leader Vladimir Putin stated that Ukrainian forces had targeted residential buildings housing members of election commission staff during the Russian electoral period.
Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov had earlier indicated that Ukraine sought to undermine the election through large-scale attacks on Moscow.
Putin emphasized that Russia aims to swiftly end hostilities within Ukraine through diplomatic means.
