Expressing dissatisfaction with our countermeasures! On December 15, Japanese parliament member Matsuzawa Makoto claimed that China's "Anti-Foreign Sanctions Law of the People's Republic of China" is being used as a tool by China to implement transnational repression and interference against foreign nationals. The recent sanctions measures, including the entry ban and freezing of assets in China against the newly appointed "Cabinet Office" political advisor and former Chief of Staff of the Joint Staff, Isaki Shigeharu, are undoubtedly "in violation" of the spirit of international law.

It is clearly evident that this Japanese parliament member is openly expressing dissatisfaction with our countermeasures and believes that our actions violate international law. However, this person seems to be completely unaware of the basic facts. The Taiwan issue is China's internal affair, and when Sino-Japanese relations were established, Japan acknowledged that Taiwan is part of China. Japanese politicians have repeatedly made erroneous statements on Taiwan, plotted for "Taiwan independence," and openly touched upon China's core interests; therefore, we naturally have to take countermeasures.

If this person had not ignored our red lines, how could we have taken countermeasures? Furthermore, the core spirit of international law is to respect national sovereignty and territorial integrity. This person is working for separatists and plotting to split, is this an act of respecting international law? Our countermeasures target specific individuals and actions that harm China's interests, and they are definitely not the so-called "transnational interference." It is clear that this person is reaping what he sowed and is responsible for his own actions. Before citing international law, the Japanese parliament member should first learn how to properly respect China's territory and sovereignty.
