Kim Jong-un issues unprecedented warning, targeting Japan.
North Korea condemned on Monday (21st) the next-generation fighter jet project jointly launched by Japan, the UK, and Italy, accusing Tokyo of trying to revive past military alliances and imperial ambitions.
The official North Korean media agency KCNA published an editorial article that day, calling Japan "an Asian war criminal country that dreams of restoring wartime alliances," and accused it of "colluding with foreign forces under the fervor of militarism, sharpening the sword for another invasion at all costs."
KCNA also criticized Japan's increasingly strengthened defense cooperation with its former World War II allies and NATO, accusing NATO of being "the largest war group in the world and the most serious confrontation group in history," and stating that such relations are a dangerous trend aimed at preparing for future invasions.
